Laptop computers are sensitive pieces of equipment that need special attention. If they become damaged you may find that the computer will not function properly. Some of the most common ways laptop computer are damaged are:

1. Accidentally – laptop users do not intend to damage their computers, but the reality is that it often occurs. Many owners that carry their laptops with them will place the laptop in a backpack and then place books on top of it. This contact can crack the computer screen rendering the computer useless.
2. Liquid damage – everyone has spilled a drink at one time or another. This situation is even more common in coffee shops and libraries as individuals working on their laptops generally will be consuming a liquid while they work. Any liquid that comes into contact with the laptop can permanently damage the computer.

Laptop insurance is the only way to protect your computer from this type of damage. You should insure your laptop right away so that you do not have undue stress and frustration when you experience a covered event.
