Seeing mini-notebooks, also known as netbooks, is now commonplace. Consumers are excited to be able to own a laptop that is affordable and conveniently portable. A netbook is mainly used to access the Internet for web surfing and checking emails, which is what most people need it for.

Although it may come with certain office suite tools, the small size has left it with smaller RAM and hard drive sizes. As a result, it cannot be used for heavy program use and productivity projects.
